i have heard that to be true....i have cought hard heads off the peir and if you bleed them they taste fine...i have also had luck with sail cats, ground mullet, trout, and bait fish. flounder is ok around the peir on shore and maybe a sheep head or two...i have also walked the beach around to the point of fort morgan and while i have not fished there i can say there are always red fish laying on the beach where people have left them laying....if your patient and fish with live fish or cut mullet you should catch a red or two...also specks are good over there two...
